An elderly Iraqi woman shows two bullets which she says hit her house following an early coalition forces raid in the predominantly Shiite Baghdad suburb of Sadr City. At least 175 people were slaughtered on Tuesday and more than 200 wounded when four suicide truck bombs targeted people from an ancient religious sect in northern Iraq, officials said.(AFP/Wissam al-Okaili)

LOOK CLOSELY AT THE BULLETS. Actually, you don't have to look that closely. Any idiot will see the flaw in this photo.

OMG!

Where once our soldiers were raping women and children in the dead of night, now we shooting grandmas in broad daylight with unuse rifle shells?

Somebody call the NYT. We have another front page story here.

I showed this photo to a lib at work and told her this was clear evidence of the AP trying to make the US look bad. After all, those are US Military 5.56mm rounds! Where else could she have gotten them?

But she refused to admit that the AP was trying to make our guys look bad. Denial is a looooooong river.

:shifty: And in an act of retaliation these are the eegs the old lady through,Wounding two,They were retrieved at the bomb sight!!

BUSTED. AFP = Agence France-Presse, NOT Associated Press.

Nice try Percy. Talk about "phony propaganda".

*owned*

The link has reset or something. Yahoo is notorious for that. When I click it, I get "1 of 474" pictures. Nothing about bullets. But I assume they were unspent?

its #119 right now if anyone wants the caption

"Due to poor planning and lack of funding, US troops in Iraq are no longer being issued conventional firearms, they will instead be given blowguns. Because of an ammunition surplus, these blowguns have been modified to "fire" 5.56mm rounds."-AP

Also notice the professional way she's holding the bullets. Nobody holds bullets that way naturally. Her fingers are neatly tiled, and the bullets are angled to give the best presentation. This was a pure setup.

LOL that was TOO FUNNY!

Apparently this photo is not without precedent. Here's another AFP photo from July 10:

An Iraqi elderly woman inspects a bullet which she says hit her bed during an alleged overnight raid by US and Iraqi troops in Baghdad’s impoverished district of Sadr City. Residents said two people were killed and four wounded during the raid. (AFP/Wissam al-Okaili)

That bullet didn't hit her bed unless it's made of gelatin. Also it hasn't been fired, no rifling marks. It's just not possible. Also, that round is a .50 caliber bullet, not usually used in raids.
