A 98 mark popped up in the local pick and pull, it was in pretty rough shape and about the only thing i could use off it is a almost new looking set of strutmasters front and rear. My car is already on cut V8 T-bird coils, I like the lowered look. Is there a way to tell if this is the lowered kit? Don't really want it if its stock height. I could grab it for under $100, would it be worth it? I've read mixed reviews, Thanks.

For a hundred bucks I'd get it rather you need it or not just due to the price.

Even if it were the lowerred kit, I doubt it would be worth switching out with the cut t-bird springs.

Are the struts any good compared to a autostore replacement? Possibly stiffer? Would the springs be any stiffer than the V8 T-birds? I'm really just looking for a firmer ride.

We're going to get along just fine.

Coil conversions are generally pretty bouncy, even the lowered version. The shocks vary from manf to manf but are all are run of the mill shocks(Gabriel/Monroe ect). From what I remember, the owner of aas said the lowered version of his kit was just hacked off coil-s-. Nothing special and it shows in the ride quality.

For under $100 I'd grab them. Never know when another Mark with air ride problems will pop up dirt cheap, then you'll already have the springs to fix it
