Are the Gen I and Gen II hoods the same?

Going to look for a hood for my '00 as I have a dent in there that would be more expensive to fix then just replace. Just wondering if anyone knows if the first and second generation hoods are the same. I suspect not as I believe the grills are different. Anyone know for certain?

Not the same. Will fit, but gen 2 hood doesn't have washer nozzles.

also while the grilles are slightly different, their overall shape is the same as they are interchangable

if you can get the hood cowl (below wipers), it has the jets and is also interchangeable, completing your needs (washer fluid replumbing is easy)
