Arizona is taking the lead to finally put some teeth in the immigration bill that the federal government seems not able to do.
Local police will be given the authority to (under certain circumstances) detain and ask for proof of the right to be in the country.
Personally I think this is LONG, LONG, OVERDUE.
I am glad to see somone has finally taken the bull by the horns with this illegal immigration fiasco going on in the southwest.
It is going on throughout the country and Arazona may well be the model for the other states plagued with this problem.
Of cource the ACLU and the rest of the cry babies will cry foul and raise the issue of racial profiling.
One only has to take a realistic look at the escallating problem of illegal entrance into this country.
For years it has been out of control, costing the effected states billions of dollars in aid too these illegals in the form of housing, education, and medical expense.
I hope this proves to be a success in Arizona so that other states can begin similar programs.
