Hey guys,
My name is cohle and im currently deployed to iraq...Previously owning two mk VIIs (that are no longer mine due to series of unfortunate events)i have decided to buy one when i get back to the states... i am actually here to get some pointers on some easy and not too expensive engine upgrades i can do to my future lincoln to give it that little extra something...i was already thinking a new air intake and shift kit for the tranny as well as new exhaust...maybe even a chip if yall think that is what i need...but i needed some help about the whole boring of the engine topic and all that is involved with that and if that extensive of an upgrade is what i want...this car is going to be my daily driver so the fuel economy is also in mind...i just need some pointers and advice on what to do...im not trying to go too crazy on making this thing fast...i just want to make it fun...lol....anything is greatly appreciated

Welcome from sunny, downtown Philadelphia, PA Cohle and thank you for serving.

Job one will be to get the car back to original specifications with some really basic maintenance items. Once done, you may be surprised and not need to go further.

Replace air filter
Replace battery
Replace distributor cap
Replace distributor rotor
Replace engine coolant
Replace engine oil
Replace fuel filter
Replace spark plugs
Replace spark wires
Replace PCV valve and filter
Replace transmission fluid
Replace voltage regulator
