Hello, I am new to GM parts and this has been bugging me for a long time. I hope I finally found a place to get my answer.
I've got an `87 biarritz that over the course of time I'm slowly fixing up, unfortunately the astroroof housing has begun to rust away and whatnot. I haven't been able to find anything like this (whole unit) in a junk yard, e-bay, or anywhere else on-line and it's really getting on my nerves. It's to the point that my rear seat now needs to be re-leathered due to water damage.
Secondly, the engine has a problem of now wanting to go into gear properly, A mechanic I took it to disconnected some wire harness just under the throttle on the carb to stop something (it's been a while and being at work I can't run out and look at what the instrument panel is saying)
Now my questions,
1. Are they still made for this year caddy?
2. If I'm unable to find another one, what is a suitable replacement?
3. For other assorted parts, would the seville's and regular eldorado's of that year be suitable?
4. The engine problem... any ideas here?
Thank you for your time and any info you might have for me,
Dan
