atco raceway info

ok I want to go to atco within the next few weeks.. see how slow my car really is. Hopefully I'll get into the 13's but with both my marks I have had seeming slow for the mods I have, I doubt it. Anyways I also wanna make a few passes not just 1 or 2.. what days would be best to go down there? its a good 2-3 hour drive for me so I wanna make sure I make it worth it cause I probally won't go again.

come with me on a thurs, i live 15 min from the track. Thurs is the night for american cars...not too many spick mobiles. friday is all them damn rotary and 4cyls. we got a few mks arround who run every once in a while. your bound to see atleast one mk8 at atco every week best to get there when they open at 4:30, then you can get as many runs in as you want. arround 7 it starts to get busy.

I know what you mean. I remember waiting for my friends dad's 9 second 1972 Nova to make a run. I hear this ungodly motor spooling then BAM! Blew coolant and oil and all kinds of :q:q:q:q on the track. They might make it down the track once every three times at the tree.

yea, e-town is faster...but its CROUDED LIKE CRAZY! its also closer to you.

Actually, Atco is a quicker track - closer to sea level. It's just too far of a drive in case something breaks.

how far is atco? I thought it was actually closer than englishtown.. I'm like right in the middle of li so if its a huge distance I will just go to englishtown.. but I want a few passes... I have no o/d so I'd be driving in 3rd with 4.10's all the way there.. lol.. I have to get it to the track before I sell it

Atco's like exit 5 off the Jersey Turnpike. It's a bit of a hike. E-Town is WAY closer to you. Atco's a last resort for me when E-Town is closed during the winter.

atco is like 10 min from genos shop, so stop by the shop, get some mods, race it up...call it a night!
