Hi all, my LS was targeted by thieves who attempted to hot wire it but obviously miserably failed. After reconnecting all the wires to their appropriate places, I had a hard time to get the car to start since they messed up quite a few things. Long story short, the car runs as it should but now my interior lights will flicker on and off when they want to. It's as if the car detects an open door but the lights come on so quickly it makes me believe otherwise (there is no gradual luminescence)

I would suspect a damaged wire that you didn't catch, or that one or more of your repair splices is bad.

We just finished double checking every last strand of wire there. Which module is responsible for the interior lights?

You have no way of knowing what wires were twisted together in this attempted hotwiring job. You're going to have to have the dealer inspect it, because there's just no way of knowing what's been shorted out.

Incidentally, a carjacking is not when someone tries to hotwire your car. A carjacking is when you're sitting at a stoplight and someone sticks a gun in your face, screaming at you to get out of the car. Then they drive it away.

Touche'....

In any case, i'll be rechecking everything once more and maybe have a meter this time. The car is just too old to go over to a dealer only to have them charge me with a diagnostics fee plus hundreds more for labor and parts.
