Lincoln LS headlamps stay on in daylight in autolamp position? See the sensor for sale on EBAY at:

This sensor is the light sensor/sun sensor for the autolamp system in the Lincoln LS 2000-2002, 1999 Lincoln Continental, and 2002 Ford Thunderbird. The sensor mounts in the dash glareshield near center and senses outside light level to turn the headlamps on or off depending on outside light. It also acts as a sunlight sensor for the air conditioning in some vehicles. If you use the autolamp function of your headlight switch and the headlights do not go off when in daylight, then the sensor is a likely suspect. It is relatively easy to install - pop out the glareshield panel (feel along the aft seam of the narrow panel for detents to pry in) that it's installed in and disconnect the wiriing from the sensor, remove the sensor from the snapin mount and replace with the new one. Note - this sensor does not mount by screws - it snaps into a base mount. If your sensor is screw mounted, then this is not the part number you want
