I love the program but lately I am getting really, really tired of its BS. A crash here, a crash there, out of memory with 4gb and the 3GB switch enabled. WTF.
I can't wait to upgrade to 64 bit (if we get any more work) but that'll be another set of issues. I hear bad things about 64bit and Navis works.
I love Navis works. Any other construction coordinators out there? anyone work with Navis?

I am so sick of the program and so burnt out from working 10+hr days almost 7 days a week that I can't even work now. All I did today was troll trhough the internet. Well I did produce (9) 4000A busduct run drawings for the manufacturer. Working on a 32 story tower here in Boston that is fully 3D BIM coordinated. Also the PM for the job. Only about 138 CCD's so far, each with about 2 revisions. The project is barely out of the ground yet so there will be many more revisions.
Screw that, I just convinced myself to go to a bar. Later.

lol its nice but yes sometimes i hate it too. I use 2006 and at work my computer is a joke and it doesnt work with vista but there are ways around that. The compatibility issues i have sometiems are frustrating too.

We upgraded to AutoCAD 2009 Civil 3D a year ago. There are a lot of new and custom features in this software compared to 2004 and LDD. Lots to learn. But overall I do like the software.
I am a Civil Engineer working on site design & construction (observation).

3D is wicked cool.
How large of files do you work with? Scope wise not file size? You tries Navis to roam the environment?

I got 2010 the other day and am afraid to install it. I will wait till the end of this project. The program does not come with toolbars out of the box anymore. You can download a add-on or create your own. You have to use the ribbon or know all keyboard commands. That's BS too! Fix the damn bugs and stop changing everything.
I use Revit MEP. Love the program, makes sections and elevations a breeze. Pipe too. But I hate it when it crashes or runs out of memory. Takes about 15 minutes to shutdown and restart and another 15 to recover all files.

Well, one good thing about autocad crashing is that when I am on a conference meeting doing CAD coordination and others crash I have legit down time while they recover.
