So the other day I was getting on the freeway in San Jose in my 67 Vert. I saw what I believe to be a 60 Cad Vert go by me. Nice looking car that was slammed with flames, pipes ect.. I had to get on the gas a little to catch up but got to roll both cars for a few miles together before he got off the freeway. To me it was cool to see two older verts cruising around. This got me thinking..
Let's organize a Lincoln/Cadillac Vert cruise. My thoughts are to keep it 1976 and under.
I'm not sure yet on location, but I was thinking a 100-150ish mile round trip with the cars if possible. I know I'm asking people to shell out some cash on gas with these thirsty cars, but, I think it would be a blast and make for some great photos.
Couple ideas that crossed my mind for the cruise would be:
Meet in Gilroy and go to Big Sur (this is about 140 miles)
Meet in Santa Cruz and go to Half moon Bay (This is about 100 miles)
Meet in Halfmoon Bay and go to Gilroy (140 miles)
Idea would be to meet up, drive to the location and have a BBQ, hang out a while then make the drive back to the original meeting spot.
I would like to do this before the weather turns and we can't roll top down.
I'm open for other ideas / suggestions for the cruise..
