I just need some input and opinions. If I could get an 80MM throttle body to work would it be to big for the 3.9? Would a 75MM be better? Any input would be much appreciated.

I have just the basics like exhaust and K&N series 57 for now. At first I thought that a 75mm or 80mm might be to big but since it comes stock with a 70mm I am now thinking that it might be a decent mod. Maybe with the right tune and some high flow cats that little motor might be even more efficient. Right now I am just in the brainstorm mode.

not for nothing but 80mm would be overkill, plus to really see a gain you would have to port the aluminum neck between the tb and manifold, I dont think there is enough meat to go to 80mm

the 3.9L is very sensative to airflow velocity - if you lower the speed of the airflow you reduce your torque. So by making the intake larger (without forcing more air in) you do increase flow volume but reduce velocity. People have lost torque by simply porting the stock TB.

Your TB is not a limit in the stock setup.
