Hi all, has anybody tried this site speedticketbeaters.com/
he says he can give you info/a defense in any state that will beat a speeding ticket, guilty or not or a 100% re-fund seems to good to be true if you ask me but for $120 it may be worth a shot to beat the fine plus surcharges on ins.

I got caught, written up 75mph in a 55mph .I talked to him he started to tell me a little about the defense,#1 he questions the legality of LIDAR usage in Ma. and its accuray #2 he trys to prove that the speed trap is ilegal because speed limit is 65 and the state cant drop it to 55 unless they have surveys of the averaqe speed in that area and they have to have it for the side of the road I was traveling within 1 mile of the speed trap.

Well if you talked to him did it work?

I havent decideded to pay or fight the ticket using his services.Time off of work and agrivation of going to court twice ,once for the hearing and then in front of a judge adds up.Almost $500 lost in wages or use 2 vacation/sick days .I only get 2weeks a year and like to enjoy them!!! plus his $120 fee is almost what the ticket and ins surcharges will be

2 things I can think of off the top of my head. One you can pull the officers public records to make sure he is cetrified for the radar gun he used. Alot of times the certification is up. That will get you out of the ticket instantly. Two, if your record is clean, you can ask the judge for a probation ticket. You will have to pay the fine but if you get no tickets in the alotted time the ticket will not go on your record. The third is a slight chance, he might not show up at court and you can get out.

If an officer doesn’t show at a court date they will just reschedule.
Also I think what you mean by a probation ticket is a stay of adjudication.

In michigan if a officer (state trooper for sure) does not show at court, your ticket is dimissed. As for the probation goes, they just hold the ticket over your head. If you go for a year with no tickets the original charges are dismissed. And all records of them are removed. Insurance can never find out because nothing goes on your record but if you get a another ticket the original will then be transfered to your record. I think you can only get the probation period if you have a clean record. If you have a bunch of speeding tickets their will be no way to sway the judge that it was a one time incident. I don't know how all the state laws work, but I know alittle about the michigan laws.

Probational period is the way to go IMO, If you come in producing public records of a officers certifications it might be like hanging a mess with me sign around your neck. Just be as polite and honest as you can be, ask the judge for some different alternatives, and take whatever is coming to you. GL

Wow, I thought most states dismissed the charge if the pig didn't show up. What states do they just reschedule? I'll be sure to drive around them.

:)

they reschedule in here in MN sometimes it will change if the judge is fealing nice

Re-Schedule, thats :q:q:q:qen insane, if you dont show they issue a warrant WTF!!!!
here in Ma. if cop doesnt show up you are automaticaly found not responsable

I decided just to pay the fine.75 in a 55, if he caught me sooner I would have lost my licence ,I was on a motorcycle and well, lets just say before I got off the gas the rpms where at 11k in 5th gear!!!!!!

learn your lesson and stop speeding...being able to get away with doing something that puts other's lives at risk is unacceptable. Best of luck though

I would have fought it just to keep it off your record. The fines and surcharges are the least of your worries - you may want to bend over next time you need to pay your insurance!

I'd gladly pay most traffic fines for stuff I am guilty of, provided my money goes to the municipality and gets used for police, fire, ems services (things that benefit me and everybody there). But really I hate feeding more into the coffers of the insurance company when I haven't done anything that will incur expense on their part.

I don't know about that guy personally, but in florida they have traffic ticket lawyers everywhere that will get your ticket reduced to a non-moving violation, and you only have to pay the fine. Cost to the lawyer: $80

I've used them three separate times and they were successful each time.

I should have multi-quoted but missed this somehow!

You have to be freaking kidding! Speeding isn't what endangers others lives. Cell phone talking, texting, old people that no longer have coordination, nervous drivers, slow drivers in the left lane, and inconsiderate drivers are the ones that endanger others lives.

They did a study that most people that speed are more in tune with their car and usually tend to pay more attention to their surrounding than non-speeders. You need to do some homework before you start giving advise as if it's the know all end all truth!

Btw, if speed kills compare autobahn death rates to those in the US. You'll be surprised to find that more people die on our freeways...why you may ask? Because of the idiots I mentioned above. It's not the speeders!!!!!

You can't take a joke can you? My statement was inclined to be that conservative "old-lady" like driver. I love speed and always gun it at the green, thought it kills my MPG. At least I know how to NOT get caught...I pay so close to my surroundings that I can practically smell PIGGY coming up on the next few lights.......never been pulled over in my LS even for all the crazy sh*t I do :-D

huh... just read through this.

One thing you can also check is if the radar gun was properly calibrated that day. They are supposed to have a log, and calibrate any time they set up a "speed trap". If they did not calibrate the radar gun, then they cannot PROVE you were driving at any specific speed.

Those 2 days is where they get ya, nobody wants to take 1 day off to fight the ticket, nevermind 2! It doesn't sound like paying this guy will do you any good, at best you'll be just ahead of breaking even $-wise, and will have lost 2 days on top of that... Massachusetts SUCKS!
