I noticed my belt tensioner seems to be sitting higher than usual. I do have a crank pulley and am using a 2 inch shorter belt than stock. Perhaps I should get one that is only 1 inch shorter? Any thoughts on this?

With just the Steeda underdrive pulley, I used a 94" belt. You need a shorter belt if the idler is sitting high. :wrench

I also noticed some abnormal wear on the idler pulley which is relatively new. Wrong belt size? How many inches is the stock size belt supposed to be?

The stock belt is 98", Dayco 5060980.

The 94 inch belt is Dayco 5060940.

You may need a new tensioner.
