Best DIY manual

Which DIY repair manual is the best? I have the Ford CD, but I'd also like a book, I.E. Haynes, etc., something geared towards a driveway mechanic like me.
Thanks.

IMO, don't bother with the Chilton manual. I bought it, and it seems to be geared to the Conti and TC, with very little thought given to the MarkVIII.

Mitchell's is good but $$ Ford's (Helm) seem to always be the best. Books seem to be better on the details than the CDs, at least for my wife's 2000 Stang. I have both books and a Ford OEM CD. I only have the CD for my 98 LSC and it seems to be lacking and difficult to locate some items.

I've needed more than one.

I use the Hayes Thunderberd/Cougar manual and the Ford Manual.

They should make a "Mark VIII for dummies"....that would suit me just fine.
