Hey guys I recently threw my rims on and I am thinking about the eibach drop kit..I have the monroe struts on now that I got from Ken but I dont know how well they will ride with the new springs, I was thinking about getting all new sport struts and the springs but I havent found the struts for under 60 a piece! Is this worth it??

The LS doesn't use struts; it has coil-over shocks. The terms are not interchangeable; run, do not walk, away from anyone who tries to sell you struts for an LS, 'cause they don't know what they're talking about.

By all accounts, the only good choices for shocks are the Lincoln shocks or the Ledas (but if you don't like $60 per shock, don't even ask about the Ledas). All the reports I've heard about the Monroes on LSes was that they were disappointing...

Yeah I havent really minded the ride on the monroes. The only reason I dont wanna do em with lowering springs is because the monroe design is shorter than factory already so thats why I am wondering where the best place to buy the OEM sport struts are...

Torrie and FastPartsNetwork have a good reputation; I've had good results in dealing with Bill Jenkins at Team Ford in Las Vegas. He has a banner ad on the right side of the forum.

Bill was tremendously helpful to my brother, who was buying parts so he could replace the clutch on his (used to be mine) '95 SHO. Bill had to go searching Ford parts shops around the country to find some of the parts, as they're now end-of-lifed/obsolete. :Beer

I dont know if I should just do the fronts since thats where the most load from the car is or if I should get all 4 right away...

Do you want stiffer or softer? If your LS is a SPORT then you have 2 other OEM shock choices. You can go witht the nonsports which will probably ride like the Monroes (softer than the sport) or you can go with the Eurpoeans for a much firmer/stiffer ride...

Well I have to decide between the sports or the base...I have a sport and the factory ride was pretty good even though the struts already had 65k on them and the monroes ride almost the same to me...I am just wondering what is going to be the best for riding with 20s, I am thinking I might do the sport because I dont think its that harsh plus it will be a little stiffer and less chance of rubbing...
