Guess what we're working on today?

Friend of mine wants to build a potato/pumpkin gun.

6 inch diameter 24 feet long barrel

1" thick accelerator.

This ought to be interesting...

WOW! How much does that thing weigh?

What do you plan to use as an accelerant?

I've never seen one quite that big before.

That thing could easily shoot a pumpkin through someone's roof... many blocks away. I hope you have a lot of clear space... or a shallow launch angle.

I'd love to see a video of the launch!

Now I see what the trailer is for. I am originally from central Illinois. In Morton, Illinois each year they have a pumpkin fest. They have pumpkin cannons that shoot pumkins and they are incredible. They actually had to throttle them back a few years ago because they were shooting them to far (from what I was told).

Check out the video. By the way... the guy talking has got to be the most mono tone person I have ever heard.

i was at the punkin chucking thingie in morton this weekend, i got some vids on my phone ill put them up eventually

the markers stopped at 500 ft (lame) wayyyyyyyy past. but the big air cannons were sliding a neon sideways at the 500 mark
