Well, I didn't spend that on them since I got them used. However, had I known what they were before that I would have spent the $5200 in a heartbeat.Akkord29 said:$5200!! DAMN!! My lifes saving. LOL
thats why all the rappers talk about kandy paint in there songs...I wish I could see it in person, seeing a picture probably doesnt do it justicelexdiamondz10304 said:WOW your paintjob is amazing, it almost looks like the tri-coat white that I have, at a certain angle it gives off a creamish tint that fades to white.
GrayGhost1 said:Get the StopTech Big Brake kit. You won't be sorry with that kit. Get the front and back kit for $5200. I've had this kit now on my LS for about 2 months and they worth every cent. You can order them from www.stoptech.com.
I think the paint looks like crap in the picture. Seeing it in person is a whole different story. After shooting candy on this car I will never go back to stock paint on any car.stateproperty3423 said:thats why all the rappers talk about kandy paint in there songs...I wish I could see it in person, seeing a picture probably doesnt do it justice
Not really. When I first bought my LS the brake pedal was junk. I mean, it was so mushy. I upgraded with stainless steel braided brake lines, crossed drilled/slotted rotors and Porterfield R4-S brake pads. That was a big improvement over stock but it just didn't have the bite to stop. I got my Big Brake kit much cheaper than $5200 since I got it used. However, this kit is something just can not be explained in words. You would have to drive a car with these on it to really appreciate it.2001LS8Sport said:ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? That is almost ridiculous. I mean it really is. I can't imagine one of these cars needing that kind of money spent on brakes. If you race your car a lot, maybe...but for occasional racing and normal use, there HAS to be much more economical approaches to outstanding braking. Has anyone checked with Baer and seen what they could offer?

Good luck!

I got a deal on the system used but I was saving up to buy it new to begin with. It all depends on what your priorities are. Of course, most would spend $5G's on a stereo system but not me. I'd rather have performance. It all depends on what you want. Like I said in an earlier thread if you ever drove an LS with this system you'd understand why they are worth the money. As for looks, it looks like any other painted caliper but it has StopTech on it. I plan to take some pics of them on the car and post them here.
