i drive something big everyday, but my uncle Monti drives something bigger and more powerful than me everyday. this is called a -(dash) 9 nad has 4000 hp. he's for BNSF railway out towards pepperman's neck of the woods. this pic was taken from a hill so it's not the best angle. his is the dirty one farthest from you.

i've amtraked it to boston 2 times!
 
You know, those trains are driven by electric motors, The gas or diesel engines just act as a generator to power the electric motors. So the 4000hp isnt being put to the rails.hehe:)

I've known people that worked for Southern Pacific. Rough, dirty job!
