Do you guys think a 80-89 style T/C would look good black with a tan interior??? I would love to paint my car black, but I don't know if it will go with the tan...

I saw a 1990 TC that was black/tan and it looked good

i have a 98 cartier black & tan, great combo

I dont remeber ford making that color combo on pre 90's. It would look good, especially if the new paint comes out good.

Black is the worst color for bodymen. Every inperfection shows, from dust to dents.
I just painted my 96 Signature in June at my trade school (Shawsheen Tech) In Billerica MA. It came out good, but i can still see the dents, even the ones i filled in.
When back to school comes rolling by im going to wetsand and buff it.

Shawsheen isnt to far away for you black87lsc, you aint to far from me either. I was actually going to go look at a 99 or 00 Town Car Cartier for sale in N. Reading. My buddys dad owns the Sunoco Station in the center.

Yea i know

You only pay for supplies, altough we dont do door jambs, inside trunk, or hood.

Yea, the only thing that would be a pain in the a$$ to do is jam it. Black is a biatch, but my car is pretty straight except for a couple of door dings. I know somebody who goes to Shawsheen, lol.. The Sunoco in the center....Is that Lou's place??? I actually work at the gas station on the corner of 62 and 28... Small world!!

I know the owners son, who is in the AutoBody program with me. Patilano is the last name. I dont know his dad.
To do the jambs preperation is key. Clean out ALL the dust and dirt, grease ect in the hinge area, and mask everything off, all mouldings and gaskets, then make sure you dont miss a spot. It is a pain. What color is you paded top? Half or full?

Any pics of the 56?
I have a 57 4 door hardtop, my dad has a convertible.

Hmmm. Don't recognize the name.I think you're talking about the Sunoco in READING. Mine has a tan half vinyl roof on it. The gold is kind of growing on me, I'm torn which color to paint it... My '56 isn't much to look at right now, I just took it out of the garage the other day. It's a good solid 62,000 mile Georgia car, but it just needs to be restored. What color's are the 57's? Do you go to the car show in Tewksbury on Sunday's?

I thought it was in N. Reading, in the center, but maby its Reading

My 4 door Hardtop (no post) is a 69k Original mile car, Black with a white top, Red interior. Its all stock. The body is not too bad, but there are some scratches here and there, and a few tiny bubbles on the bottom of the doors. Im going to repaint it at school. Interior is only in need of the windows, i already recoverd seats, headliner, and got new panels. Also repainted all interior metal (dash ect..) Its got alot of factory options including Dual original spotlights, skirts, bumper guards front and back. Its not registerd right now.

My dad has a Red 57 convertible. White top, red and silver interior. ALL STOCK. He has the continetal kit and skirts, spinner caps, bumper guards. His has been restored, he did it himself. Its a driver, not a trailer queen. His is registed, we dont take it out all that much. Are you planning on going tomorrow? Maby ill see if we can take it out.

Only picture i got.

I want to add the factory exterior visor, but they are very expensive and EXTreeMlEy hard to FiNd!!

:wrench
*owned*

Yea, if it's nice tomorrow I'll probably head over to the show. Those visors are a PITA to find. I have a couple of them, but they are for a sedan(post). Cool to see you got a nice 4 door hardtop, they are very hard to find in this area! I'll see if my dad will let me take the '55 over tomorrow, otherwise I'll have my T/C

How many do you have? The angle for the end for a 4 door hardtop are a bit less then 90'. What would you consider yours are? Are they complete? If they are bigger, and im able to maby make it fit, and if you are intrested in selling one, i may be intrested. Is your car a sedan? 2 or 4 doors?

If we go maby ill bring my TC too, along with the 57. We will see what the weather is like.

I think we have either 3 or 4 of them, 1 is for my car. I forget what the difference is between the sedan and the hardtop, but my dad may have hardtop visors hidden around somewhere.. Right now my car is a 4 door sedan. I have 2 rusty 2 door sedans that will be "donor cars." The plan is to transform my solid 4 door into a solid 2 door. It's gunna be a lotta work but will be worth it!!! 1 of the rusty cars has a rebuilt 327 w/a Muncie that will be gone through and beefed-up before they go in my car. The parts cars are really, REALLY BAD, or else I wouldn't cut them up.
