I just bought two packs of Dorman bleed screws w/ built in check valves. They don't appear to fit. The threads look completely different than the one that came in the caliper. Does anyone have any experience with these?

I've used "HELP!" speed bleeders, but not those.

yes,the help! bleeders come in different sizes and you just have to match them up,very handy

What I have is supposed to be the right size (looked up by application), but the threads appear substantially different.

i bought a set for the stock fronts, stock rears and PBR fronts, all were the right threads, but none were even close to the right length. they were all too long and never sealed. they were the HELP! brand too..
its a really slick piece if you can find ones that fit.

I've always had good luck by just attaching a long extention of hose to the bleeder screw. You waste a little fluid, but it works. You just pump until the bubbles are far past the the bleeder. Then, if it sucks a little back in, there's no air in it.

I just flushed out the entire system alone using just the air hose.

I have Speed Bleeders on my 1998 LSC for about a year now. The front and back were the same size. I flushed my old fluid out, by myself, in no time using these bleeder screws. Best invention I have seen in quite a while.

Do not measure the size of the bleeder screw by the size of the wrench used. The Speed Bleeder wrench size is not the same as the stock ones on the car, as I remember.

Got them from NAPA: p/n 675-1570. Thread size M10 x 1.0.

Or, go to... http://www.speedbleeder.com/ to read more about them. I have read that a few people have different size bleeder screws, so all I can say is to take a bleeder screw to the store with you, and match the size and thread. Mine fit perfect, and I have the original calipers on my Mark. Good Luck :)
