we have a 97 Lincoln Town Car. The driver's side window will not go up. My husband has removed most of the door panel and the motor makes a noise and by pulling hard the window will go partially up and then stop. It's raining here and we have a 6 1/2 hour trip on Monday. HELP!

Sounds like your motor is bad. You could remove the motor by drilling it out and then that would free up the glass so you could stuff it up to where it is supposed to be until it can be fixed.

Try banging on the area of the door or if you can get to the motor and hit it! Sometimes they need a little coaxing! It worked in my wifes old Malibu.
