long story short was in a minor accident with my 99 eldorado,I was stopped and someone backed into me totaly other drivers fault and I have a witnes- damage to front bumper cover ,headlights and R fender ,now the aftermath-go to pick up my car at New Englands #1 Cadillac dealership- gapping gap on one side of hood and very tighte on the otherside ,car is filthy and there are many new scuffs and scrapes (they probaly can be buffed out) so I am starting to boil,I turn on the headlights and the highbeam is out on the brand new light that was installed ,I ask did you align the headlamps ...oh yes sir so I point to the light that is out,the boss say oh no problem its just a bulb, next thing I see is a grease monkey cutting the wires and splicing them back to gether while he is doing this I pop the trunk open only to find broken bits of glass and a piece of the bumper cover, at.Now I walk to the front of the car and notice a few bolts on the fender and bumper cover missing. I am now speechless due to anger.I go to the main office and the the GM tells me bring it back tues and we will give you a loaner car and take care of the problems, all fine and well but I could have gone to earl shieb or macco and had the same treatment and pocket some of the ins check. Now I am not sure if I want to bring it back to them, but I guess I have to give them a chance to make good.
The saga goes on,I return the rental(2007cts)and they tell me the ins co will only pay39.99 of the 59.99 dollar a day rental had the car from may9 to may24-if they had told me this before I rented the car I would have gotten a less expensive rental car-thank god I have a long weekend to cool off!!!!!!

Did you pay it? I wouldn't have they cant do that. Enterprise tried that on us when we totaled our last car. We didnt let them, you should chew out the INS. comp or the dealership. We flipped and our insurance picked it up and took care of them afterwards.

No, I did not pay ,I notified American Express not to accept any charges from them as Enterprise had my credid card info when I picked up the car.I phoned ins co and asked for a manager...still waiting for a call back.Talked to my ins agent ,he told me there was nothing he could do, so now I will be changing agents but they realy dont care .
The dealership is priceless,I asked to see the GM or the owner and they send me a senior sales rep.The bodyshop manager assured me they would take care of the car on tues, but I realy dont have confidence in them,I am sure the bodyshop employees got reemed and will be pleased to beat the hell out of my car when they get into it,you know redline it in neatral, urinate in it or whatever else a disgruntaled employee may do.

Hey man I feel your pain, after fighting with my dealership over my cop's my wheels mysteriously disappeared off my car and was dropped on little tiny bricks. Oh and no one raised suspicion to the dealership cause of the supposed Tahoe at the shop next door that had over 5,k in factory electronics taken from it, what Tahoe has that much factory electronics I don't know. But aside from that they busted up my center console, 2 days later the arm rest fell off, the busted up my ashtray trim, 1 month later my climate control thing fell right off, and the last time my wife got a oil change by them ( they give you half off for purchasing it there and this was a while before we wised up, not recently) the purposely over filled it by 3 quarts causing it to flood out of the crank case via the tube to the intake. Oh they also believed that the car need 87 octane and gave me a free fill as a courtesy. The thing ping for days, and why they needed to fill up a full tank well the lot boy took it on a test drive ( to see if anything else was wrong )and I seen him personaly with my own eyes miles away from the dealership.

Its a shame you cant trust people these days as far as most dealerships go, you give them buisness and they take, take, take!

man that is wrong-You should have recieved a phone call-sir we have had some trouble on our lot with your car dont worry we are taking care of the problem and your car will be in better condition then when you dropped it off with a complimenty full detail ,would you like us to dealiver a free loaner car to you ,have a nice day sir and sorry for trouble have a nice day, but instead you like me got PORKED

Yeah right, they didn't do anything they just called and said hey can you come in quick so we can discus things about your vehicle, we would like you to bring your factory set of wheels if that is possible, well it wasn't.

And since we called the insurance agent and he showed up before "we called the cops" the cops felt no other need to investigate along with the fact that the supposed other vehicle had been busted into.

Another Bad thing is that LUFF the comp that made my wheels didn't have them in my bolt pattern after they said they did, so when we ordered them they had to take a set off the line and drill them as a courtesy for us. SO, it took a few weeks for them to even decide they were going to be this courteous to us again.

Now that also meant that the first pair had never been out on any other LS and had absolutely no shelf life what so ever. But a 500 dollar deductible as opposed to paying another 3,000 something dollars was by all means good by me.

You do have the option of contacting the attorney generals office in which we did and found out that there were other investigations open on this dealership, give it a try they might help. Our case is still open and being handled tho.

Sorry for the rest of the rant..:D

Got my car back today---dealership made good on everything!!!!!! and gave it a full detail inside and out even did the engine compartment.I guess they realy do want my bus. considering in 2 yrs I have spent over $3500 in service dept and now about $1700 in the bodyshop.
