Bonsai Trees Anyone here have one?

I have sparked an interest over the past couple months for these Bonsai trees. I really like them and have been doing lots of reading and research on them.
I was wondering if anyone here had one?
These are just a couple of them.

Those look amazing they remind me of the movie karate kid, are they hard to mantain?

They are actually pretty easy if you get certain ones.

To make them look like these though take about 10 years from what I have read.
The first one is an outdoor more than indoor one.
The second is an indoor tree. They supposedly work best when placed near a window facing the north. I have no idea why.

I have a ficus-style bonsai that has been growing pretty steadily for the last year or two. I hate having to trim the leaves, because it takes awhile for them to grow...but it has to be done to keep it shaped. They make for a nice little hobby and conversation piece.

Cool stuff. You have any pictures of it? Pretty easy to take car of too? Which kind should I get for a beginner?
