Bought the wife an 03 LS this weekend

Did I do good or pay too much? 03 V8,44k miles for $17900 on ebay. I didnt want to spend this much but when I saw the black on black comb I just couldnt pass it up.

The only thing I found wrong with the paint was 2 small dings, everything else is pretty nice. The only thing that I heard might be a problem is the valve cover seals/ o-rings (i think). When I checked the oil right before picking the car up, the level was just below the safe level. I did however check the oil literally 2 seconds after the engine was shut off. Anyway with only 44k on the clock and it still being under warranty I was thinking this should be the leaky o-ring scenario and could get the dealer to warranty it. Any input?

Looks very nice. You realize it has 02 silverstar wheels. Do you know what happened to the original wheels?

Yes I do, I work at a salvage yard and checked the interchange before I bid on the car. I mainly was looking to see if there was chrome available in 17" for 03. Beleive it or not, its not all that uncommon I have seen this happen before. I dont know why the factory does this sometimes but it sure makes my job harder

I think those 00-02 sport wheels were optional on 03 LSs, because in the 03 brachure there are pictured there. The original owner might have had bought the car with those wheels or just changed em later on.

Does it have cooling seats?

Yeah I have the original window sticker and it specifically lists sport 17" wheel option, total price came to a little over 40000.00 .

Yes it does have the cooled seats, thought this was a good option for a black car with an ALL black interrior. lol!
