Is it just me or am I missing something with these 2 vehicles?

I just don't understand why someone would not want some style in their ride.

These 2 just look like square boxes with 4 wheels.

I know someone must think they are great looking but I just can't see it!

I'm told that the appeal is that they are cheap and have a lot of room for a vehicle in that price range. Personally, I think they're fugly as all get out.

:I very much so those are two of the ugliest cars ever in my book, along with thw PT Cruiser, and the Pontiac Aztec, I think Scions are supposed to appeal to people who drive :ricesmile

Grossest thing since the Pacer. I see them around here all the time, all tinted with rims. I just shake my head and laugh?

Whoa!!! Good I was hoping that I wasn't alone on this one like I was on the 300. (Sorry still don't like the 300's looks but I do like the preformance of the 300) But these 2 ahhhhhhhhh!!!! and people look so proud driving them!!!

OHHHH! My eyes! MY-EYES! MY-EYES! *I see box vehicles! * There are WAAAY too many of those and the those DAMNED H-2 Hummers on my neighborhood streets! :ricesmile and worse! (Oh, and Conti94 you are right Scion's are DIRECTLY aimed for :ricesmile )
If you truly care for someone.....you wouldn't let them drive a HONDA!

actually you should call the hummer an H52 cuz GM has publicly announced that they had found 52 separate problems after they released the vehicle,

"GM, we build the right the 8th time!"

These "things" came from Japan, where overcrowding requires them.As for America, they are a trend, and as any half-wit knows, trends have nothing to do with what looks cool or makes sense. Most the people who have bought,(or will buy) these, is only buying them because something on TV, in a magazine, or their neighbor, told them they were cool. Just like PT's and mini vans, they're worth something now, and nothing in the near future.

In my opinion why buy a Hummer when You can buy the Escalade!!! I would put the Hummer in the Uhhhhh!! group also!!!

And here I thought the first generation S-10's were boxes with wheels......HOLY CRAP Batman!!

I HATE those stoopid Scions, but I do not mind the Honda Element....now hear me out before you crucify......I do not like the looks of it, but the utilitarian aspect of it. The way it is made, you can simply open up the doors, and squirt it out with a hose.......now THAT works for me. Not that I dislike cleaning my interior (who REALLY does), but if you live near the beach and you like to go there, you can wash it out VERY simply. Or if you like to mountain bike.......again....easy clean-up. THAT is why I like it.....I like the 'idea' of it, not the looks.....

Don't worry it's not the Lent season yet!! But I do understand that every vehicle was made for a purpose!

And every vehicle has something good about it! But Damn these are ugly!!!

Now if they were white with some company logo on them they might have a purpose!!! LOL

Yeah, we had this same discussion last year about those vehicles and other boxy ones. They are ugly. My bro-in-law has a Scion. But he's a mechanic that went to tech school to work on Toyotas so that's all he owns. When I ride in it I feel like I'm a passenger in a mini UPS delivery truck.

If RRocket chimed in, he'd repeat what 1wykdmk8 said about the Element. I understand they are very good for what they are designed for. And looks isn't one of the design criteria I guess.

I saw one while i was driving my delivery route and their not bad not quite as ugly in person as i thought that they would.

Where I walk my German Shepard there is usually this odd colored SCION parked at the curb. Without fail he'll sniff it's front tire then hike his leg and tag it. Only car he seems to notice. Strange
