i believe it might be time for me to change my brakes soon. i remember a while back someone posted a link for brake pads and the stainless steel brake lines as a combo. does anyone know where i may find that link? also, the posi-quiet brake pads that i have started squeaking after a while and still had a lot of pad left. i'm wondering if anyone has better options for me having drilled slotted rotors. i really feel like a newb around here as of late since i can't really recall these threads which i know i have subscribed (i have over 850 subs) to find the needed info. thank you everyone

yeah it was. the only thing is that i do not want to go with the posi-quiet ceramic pads again. i think the hawk pads is what i'm looking for, i just pulled that out of my you know what though, can't recall if that was indeed the name of them. i think Quik might know. i simply need some pads that will not squeak with drilled slotted rotors. you know how embarrassing it is to pull up to a red light and have your brakes squeak when you know they do not have to be replaced?

Because my EBC reds squeaked, I changed them out when one of the rear pads sheared itself off from it's backing. I wound up putting Monroe ceramics on the front with the EBC sport rotors. Then changed out the rear EBC rotors since one was effed up from the pad to regular Duralast blanks with Duralast pads. No more squeaking until I traded it in.

I'm using Duralast Gold C/Max on all 3 LSes. They dust very little, don't squeal and stop excellently.

Front: DGC 805
Rear: DGS 806

They have been on the 2000 for probably 3 or 4 years and my wife's 2006 for over 2.

EBC's rotors and green stuff pads on all 4 corners , +15k on it with no problems, a little noisy but reliable,

do you have drilled/slotted on any of the LS'?

i heard those dust like crazy though. a little noise is what i'm experiencing now, and would like to avoid it.

nice. i will try them out unless someone has direct experience with drilled slotted and no noise, and limiting dusting.

I have drilled and slotted rotors with semi-metallic pads.. I got them off of eBay for under 200 shipped.. 4 rotors and pads for all.. They squealed twice after I got it back.. It was more like a squeak.. I don't come to stop signs going 40 or anything, but I'm not easy on the brakes all the time either.. Very low dust too..

When they get like this they stop making noise.
