Braking issues

Hey guys I am not sure if anyone has had this issue, but it would be a big help if anyone knew a solution. I have recently upgraded my whole braking on my 2001 Lincoln LS, which includes ProStop pads, and Brembo cross drilled and slotted rotors. The problem I am having is my brakes are not gripping good at all when I step on the brakes. Sometimes it just falls right through and I barley stop. The dealer replaced the brake master cylinder, and I already got another set of pads, but the problem has not gone away. Does anyone has any idea what can be wrong? Your comments are greatly appreciated.
 
does the pedal go to the floor? sounds like it may just need a good bleeding. if pedal goes to floor and you are NOT low on fluid (no leak) then you have air or possibly some other contamination in the lines (or bad master cylinder but you said that's been replaced). bleed first, if that doesn't fix flush with new fluid.
 
Brake issues

Thank you very much for that sugestion, I will definately take into the shop and have them flush my system. If that doesn't fix it, then what else do you think it might be? I am thinking either the dealership said that they replaced the brake master cylinder and didn't or my calipers' might be bad. Do you think that is possible?
 
It really sounds like you need to have your brake lines bled. It takes quite a bit of effort bleed them right. Once they do that you'll be good to go!
 
bad caliper won't cause pedal to run to the floow (unless it's leaking then you will know do to low fluid). it'll be master cylinder and/or something in the lines that shouldn't be...probably air but water will do this too.
 
question. did this start just when you did your brake upgrade? did you disconnect any of the lines or inadvertently losen the bleeder valves?
 
Thanks for all the comments I received. I will take evryone of them to my mechanic and put in on his desk. Again, more comments and other suggestions would be greatly appreciated because this is a serious matter I've been working on for few months and have found no end to my problem.
 
Definately, what they said. Chances are that if any of the other scenarios were occuring that you would have noticed. I am willing to bet that the system needs a good bleeding. Make sure that who is doing the bleeding does it correctly and methodically otherwise they might as well not even do it. If the dealer replaced the master cylinder then they probably messed up the bleeding. You could take it to them and make them do it right or if you dont trust that then take it elsewhere and have them bled.
 
I discovered my problem way before the brake upgrade, and I really thought my brakes were bad originally and upgrade would fix. Unfortunately, $1000+ dollars later, the problem is still there. The fluid is full and haven't really seen any leaks. I have 20" wheels on my car and my mechanic thinks that is the problem, but I really doubt it.
 
I sort of I do agree there because everybody and there mom has big wheels on their cars, and everyone I have talked that has those wheels told me I was funny if I thought my wheels are the problem.
