I have been thinking about this awhile now and today I finally got bored enough to try it. I took the rubber gromet from where the air came into the air tube on the fender and placed it in a hole, I cut, on the bottom of the tube. The hole is by the wheel well and is in line with the tube. It seems to fit well and drives a little bit better. Here are some pics, I took them with my phone so the quailty is not the best.

Thanks Scott, Most of the time I do my best thinking inside the box......
Today it is finally raining here(Iowa) and the tempurature is a little cooler so hopefully I will be able to tell a little difference preformance wise tonight. I took it out today and no rain got in and it felt and sounded a little better.

hawk, i cut my airbox like your how to says, now its 110 in stl, so im sucking in ALOT of hot air, the ac isnt as hot and the acceleration isnt as good. what can i do to fix this? should i take a tube behind the front airdam

help! should i just buy some of that 3" dryer tubing, will the vinyl stuff melt or should i buy the metal stuff. anyone that has done this please give some advice

I just took mine out for a drive to see how it preformed. The air works good and the acceleration is a little bit better. I have no idea why your air is not as cool or your acceleration is not as good. Maybe do a recharge on your air to help it out.

Put some more r134 coolant in the system, maybe you have a leak? But you should have it checked out if it is not what it used to be.
