Bryan,

Will you send your boys to die in Iraq? I know that they are still a little young to think about it but the Administration tells us we will be there for another 12 years. That ought to be about right to set them up to be killed by a road side bomb or beheaded by some fanatic. Are you willing to risk their lives in Iran or Korea? We'll see how supportive you are then.

I was under the impression that you were grooming your sons to be businessmen, not soldiers. Have you read that recruitment in all branches has missed their mark. How will you feel when the program that you supported reinstates the draft and your pre-law or med-student son is grabbed away from you to fight a battle in a land that we can't get out of because of GWB's mistakes.

Please, we've all heard enough about GWB's perfect record. It's not true and you know it. When your son (or sons) dies I think you'll change your tune. I don't think, in this case, that war was in order.

You've already admitted that this war was about oil. If we've commited to being there for another 12 years how will that work to our advantage? It won't. It only works to the advantage of GWB's biggest supporters and richest men and companies in the world. His butt-buddies are reaping (raping) huge profits while a large component of companies profits is going right to the Saudis and the other puppeteers.

Please take a look in the mirror for your sons' sake.

If my sons want to go, I certainly won't discourage them. They understand already at their tender ages that freedom isn't free. They understand that if they want a better life for their own kids, they may have to make those sacrifices. We watched the whole 'Saving Private Ryan' movie the other night, including all the gore. They need to understand that war is hell and death is ugly.

Yesterday we went out and bought paintball guns. 3 of them. They can't wait to get out and use them. I am sure my military boy (age 4, who wears military fatigues daily) will continue to be the ACE shot in the family. Head and shoulders the best shot. My kids will know how to protect themselves and will know how to handle a gun. They will be in prime physical condition to meet any and all of life's challenges.

So in conclusion, if they are pulled from their 'philosphy' class and are told to serve their country, they will be the 1st ones in line or they will have a very disappointed Dad. If they choose to go voluntarily, I will support that decision. The only thing that could change my mind is if some pussy liberal is in office and needs to sacrifice my kids to enhance his poll numbers. That is probably where I would draw the line.

But when Shrub does it, it's ok???

Come on Phil. Are you actually saying Bush has done things for poll numbers? Please say it ain't so. Even Barry will tell you Bush is too stupid to do things simply for a bump in the polls.

He's been doing it all along. Remember the convenient bumps in the terror levels whenever his numbers were down pre 2004 election. I'll agree that he's too stupid to do that, but his handlers aren't.
:waving:

Phil, you took the words off of my keyboard this time.

What would I do what?
What would you do if some pussy Liberal was President and your kids died in action for what you thought was an unjust cause. It cuts both ways but you can't have it both ways.

I'd probably march and protest and make my wife burn her bra. I'd stomp and urinate on the flag. I would give fodder to the enemy to embolden them. You know, all the things that the left does.

Wow Bryan, your more left leaning than I am cause I haven't done any of those things even though I disagree with Shrub!!!

I believe I asked a serious question that deseves a serious answer. What would you do if some pussy Liberal President gave an order that was the cause of your sons' death?

I'd be pretty po'd and hate myself for believing that our country has and always will try to do the right thing. The older I have gotten the more aware of how wrong the left is. It is consistently wrong on almost every issue.

So are we talking a draft that forced my kids into subscription to fight a war that was wrong? I have yet to see the US fight a war that was wrong or where we didn't have the best intentions and the interests of the world in mind. We haven't screwed up yet so hopefully we won't in the future. Pussy liberal or dumb-ass conservative in charge. Doesn't matter. Either way I hope we are right and just in our cause as we always have been.

This is nothing but pure hate speech.

Mind your own business. Your opinion matters little in this discussion. In fact, from your frequent posts you opinion has no weight as you are the worst hater on this site.

"I refuse to tiptoe through life if only to arrive safely at death."

Tell your sons to find a purpose in life. A reason for being on this earth. A fight to fight for reasons greater than themselves. Tell them to stand up and believe in something. To pick up a club and defend those who cannot defend themselves. Tell them to help those who need help and not to expect anything in return, least of which recognition. Tell them that their story will live on for eternity in the lives they have touched. Most importantly tell them that we are all unable to control how much time we have here on this world...but we can control how well it is spent.

Because the decisions they make will be their own. I would support my children as long as they made thier choice based on those simple rules...and if they died doing their duty...I would know I raised a hero.

Raise a glass to the fallen whom we owe our eternal gratitude...may we never forget their names.

The men and women of our:

United States Army
United States Navy
United States Marines
United States Air Force
United States Coast Guard
Peace Officers
Firefighters
And every other person who dies for something other than themselves

A chair in the shining citadel of Valhalla awaits.
