OK So I want to upgrade my fog lights and Im seeing that its hard to find the 9145 (h10) and I See that a couple of people have switched to 9005 ...... Did you guys have to modify them at all ( I though I tried to make them fit maybe it was 9006 ) Im gonna try and find some 9005's in yellow ) can someone who has done this let me know what it takes ... I know the plugs are the same so....

The 9005's will fit into the fog light assemblies. It's the same bulb as the 9145 other than the 9145 has a painted tip. The 9005's don't. I ran the 9005's for a while but they will glare quite a bit. If you run the 9005's in the fogs just make sure you aim your fogs down so you don't blind oncoming traffic.

I had the PIAA xtreme super white 9005s in my fogs for bout 2 months but for some reason the drivers side blew. Im thinking they may have generated to much heat in that small of an enclosure which caused them to blow sooner. They also may have eventually screwed up the wiring. So I put the fac 9145 back in and have run them since. So be carefull about which bulbs you run. remember that the 9005s are for highbeams with a lot more wattage than the 9145s. I gotta feeling the headlight switch for an LS would be very expensive. there was a post earlier that Greyghost had with 9145 yellow bulbs. :tmi: :L

F* the oncoming traffic  ...nah just kidding. speaking of which i have to check that out, I have fogs that are already 15W higher then the stock were. :slam
