Iraq Report Concludes Saddam Was Unable To Resurrect Career Of Cat Stevens
The long awaited final report of the Iraq Survey Group concluded that the career of pop singer Cat Stevens had deteriorated to the point of being unable to pose any serious threat to the music world.
The findings, based on extensive interviews with Saddam Hussein and others in his regime, found that the former dictator's plans to resurrect the singer's career by building him a private recording studio never materialized.
President Bush, however, jumped on the report's findings and claimed they bolstered the need to invade Iraq. Speaking to supporters in Pennsylvania, who signed an oath of allegiance punishable by death, Bush said this proved action was necessary.
'What this report made perfectly clear is that Saddam had the potential to rebuild the career of Cat Stevens at some future date and we couldn't afford to sit around and wait for that to happen. Not in the post Dixie Chicks world,' Bush said to a standing ovation.
