Hey all. My 92 ABS light started flashing, 51. Thats the thermal fuse code I believe. How can I shut this annoying light off? If I disconnect the bulb or the harness, a series of warning beeps proceed from inside the dash. I need this thing turned off, can I burn out the bulb to keep the circuit complete, or does anyone know a way to get this light off without fixing the problem?

Thanks much

Well, fixing the problem is obviously best. However, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the anti-lock function sorta optional? I mean, there's thousands of cars out there with perfectly functioning brakes that don't have an anti-lock feature.

You said, "correct me if I'm wrong,".

You're wrong.

The anti-lock brake system on your Lincoln Mark VII is not an optional item. If any one part of this system is not working properly, you're at a risk of killing yourself and anyone in the car.

Period.

Heh, heh...I kinda figured somebody would jump in and set me straight pretty quick if I was wrong. Thanks for the correction and now we all know, for sure.
