My anti theft system turns on the alarm while I am driving around now, and nothing turns it off other than turning the key to the left in the driver's door and holding it there. I am still going over the diagrams that were graciously provided for me :) but is it possible to just yank out the module?

Do you need another one? I still have the one from my 96, if you want it let me know and I can sell it cheap.

i don't know if that will solve the problem - if it does then i am all for it. i just don't understand why it would turn on WHILE i was driving - it shouldn't be possible!

Either a bad module or a short. Do you have a repair manual on CD? If not PM me with your address again and I will burn you a copy and send it to you.

Hey do you think you could send me a copy of that manual? I could send you money for the CD/shipping.

Send me your address PM and I will send you a copy on Tuesday. It's only about a buck to ship so don't worry about money.

so i;ve got a lead on my problems - if i unlock the car with my key, the alarm goes off - if i unlock it with the code, it doesn't. Ironically, if i hold the key in the unlock position then it stays off for the duration that i hold it there. So does this mean I need to replace a door lock sensor? Is this sensor located in the door, and is it expensive?

Thanks guys.

I believe that you are right about the sensor, I checked and it does indeed have one with the lock in the door. When I send you the CD you can figure out how to replace it.
