can the cats be cut out wit out damaging the o2 sensors? I cant justify spending 1100 bucks on a set of new ones...
can you?

1100? www.car-stuff.com, 2 cats for under $200, OEM replacements, find a welder and you have 2 new cats for under $300 unless the welder wants to rape you. Or you could just cut out the cats but that would probably not be a wise choice(it would probably sound like ass)

If you want to eliminate the cats it will not hurt your front O2 sensors at all. However, you will want to have your rear O2 sensors turned off in the tune so they do not throw a CEL code. Overall a very simple process.
