Is there anyway to get into the trunk? i was fixing the solenoid when I went in the house to get a drink. My wife came home and saw the trunk was open and shut it.

Help

Your gunna have to figure out a way past the seats unless you pry the trunk and get a new one. And thats gunna be hard cause the levers to the backrests of the seats are in the trunk

might be a good excuse to do a 03+ bumper/trunk swap. i wonder if I need anything else? Would still rather find a cheap solution.

How about takeing off the rear bumper??? anyone???

It might give you room to get to the latch, Im at work so I cant run out and look but take a good look at it if you can unless someone can answer this fast.

I don't know of any other way in! lol
There was that other guy whose battery died and he couldn't get into the trunk (had replaced lock with a camera), I wonder if he figured it out.

Here's an idea for you. If (and that's a big if) you can take off the rear deck without lowering the rear seats you should be albe to reach your arm through the deck speaker holes (unless you have speakers in there) and hit the rear seat release. Then you can get into the trunk. From there you'll still have the problem of getting the trunklid open but at least you'll have something to look at.

I sure hope you can get in there without damaging your LS.

Then he can just pull that glow-in-the-dark emergency handle in the trunk.

good luck with that.. u cant connect a battery directly to the solenoid or it's in the trunK?

The bottom of the rear seat comes out easy maybe try taking that out and see if you can get the rear backrest l and squeeze in some how then pull the cord.

That's the best idea yet! Might have access though the brake light as well...coat hangers.

if the key doesn't open it - mechanically, and the fob will not open it electrically - how is it closed?

the manual release uses the same mechanizm the key does - so if the key will not open it - the internal release shouldn't either.

Yes that has gotta help you.

Sorry but I dont think that will work, youll need long coat hangers.

No luck with the seat botttom or trying to get the deck lid off. Thanks for the help but I think I'm gonna have to bring it to the body shop.

Have you tried to pull off the side bolsters the come off from the front and should allow you access to the trunk. My dad has my car or I would go look at mine.

Ok, my dad just got home and if you pull the side bolster you can reach trough if you have a small hand and grab the seat release cord. If not you could fit some kind of hook in there and pull it.

WHAT?!? now that's just crazy talk - using past posts where people solved the same problem - to solve a current problem!

What are you thinking! ;)
