can't see.......

hey folks

i have a 1995 caddy eldo
i have no dash lights, no shifter lights
fuses are good, cange the headlight switch twice,
if i send power to the gray wire all the lights work, but no power to signal the dash light on. need and info thanks guys.

83 Eldorado

I had a similer issue on an 83 Eldo once and the mechanic replaced a small relay under the dash. Worked great after that.

with the headlamp switch in "park" backprobe headlamp switch connector C2 with a test light from terminal B (Brn) to ground. Test light should light.If it doesn't, check the brown wire for an open or short to ground. If it does, turn the instrument panel dimmer switch completely clockwise then backprobe headlamp switch connector C2 with a test light from terminal C (Grey) to ground. Test light should light . If it doesn't, check Black wire (50) for an open. If Black wire is ok,replace headlight switch. If it does light,check Grey wire for an open circuit.

When i back probe the grey wire with +12 volts all the light work and no short on that wire, no fuse blowning.
two new head lights.
