I work with a guy who has a 93 Mark. He jacked it up with the switch on, now it's stuck WAY high. He said "what switch?"...lol
He is asking me what to do to get it back to normal height. Anyone know?

Never mind...I just found out this was yesterday when I wasn't at work...they were looking for me because they tought I would know what to do. His car looks normal now.
I'd still like to know...just in case... I AM pretty forgetful...

Disconnect the battery for a couple of minutes

That will reset the computer and as soon as it is hooked back up and the key is turned on the computer should see that the car is high and vent the air to normal levels. That is what I did when the mechanic said what air ride switch?? and why didn't you tell me in advance that you installed air bags on your Lincoln. Oh yeah, did I mention the fact that he is the ex inspection mechanic?

OMG LOL I would have went directly to his supervisor and had him fired wow...

Its almost impossible for the car to be riding high after it is jacked up. The height sensors would send a signal to the air suspension computer that the car is riding high, thus venting air. Although when you let it back down it might be possible for the compressor to slighty over inflate the bags.

Not Impossible

I have jacked Mark VIII's on purpose without turning off the air ride switch so that I could tow them without damage and to load them on a flatbed trailer. Some of them have stayed high, and some of them have come down on their own. I do not know why.
