Carlisle... Anybody Camping Out ?

Carlisle... Camping Out

Barring any last second changes to my business schedule, I am going to make Carlisle.

I'm thinking of camping out.

Anybody camp out there yet?

Are the campgrounds nice? Any amenities, ie: like showers or do I have to wash in the river? LOL.

Do the people that camp out have a good time or is the place a drag?

I like the idea of camping out because I think it would be a fuller experience. You can still hit the show, hit the bars afterwards and then go back to the campground, pop the top on a couple of cold ones and share some stories under the stars. That appeals to me.

Anybody that has done it and can share an experience or two will be greatly appreciated.

P.S. I'm not looking for a brokeback moment, so you need your own tent and sleeping bag.

I have camped out there for the truck show before. They have showers there. I would check to make sure that they allow it still. I remember a while ago they were talkin about taking it away at least for some of the car/truck shows.

Did the RV thing for a couple of years till one time a cow ended up in the car trailer...did you know cows cant back up! Wife put an end to the camping RV thing right there and then. Well the cow was not the kicker -- the heater blew out of the RV and it was 45' and raining.
