when I drive in the left lane on the highway car pulls left, when im on the right lane car pulls right. continues to happen after an alignment. No unusual wear on any tires... what do u think?

ball joints?

+1

I had this problem and replacing the ball joints fixed it.

Caveat: it didn't happen all the time, but probably 40-50% of the time. Sometimes the "drift" happened pretty sharply, too.

ball joints?

+1.. Just got one of my ball joints done and although I still need an alignment, it fixed this problem. When it was happening to me sometimes it was slight, sometimes it was sharp, and sometimes it didn't happen.

I'd go for an alignment and see what they say. If they are honest they won't give you an alignment if something needs to be changed, ball joints, toe links etc.

Mine would wander on the highway, symptoms were, accelerate it pulls to the right, cruise without acceleration, would mostly track straight. Didn't matter which lane I was in as I would always get the same results. Felt like I was always correcting the steering. Around town at about 40 nothing noticable.

Replaced both rear sway bars and rear toe-links, fixed the problem. Now drives like normal. HTH

I'm having same problem with my LS. I already bought new Ford rear toe links just waiting to put on. Hope that fixes it. Wife does not like to drive it over 60.
