Center Console Latch replacement

Wondering where I can find a replacement center console latch. Mine's broke so my console wants to be open all the time. Thanks for the help

You have to purchase the whole lid to get the latch. Most, but not all colors seem to still be available. They are about $180.

You are looking for the 3W4Z-5406024-Axx, where xx is determined by the color that you need. Another possible option is ebay (or your local junkyards).

I used a nail and super glue! Cut in two pieces and drilled about 1/2" on each side. Did it in May 2013 and still going strong.

I did the same last year, works like new.

I lost my broke latch before I got around to trying the above repair...


took two years of checking junk yards, and hawking people here that are parting out their cars (it seems that everybody that parts out an LS has already broken theirs, finally got one late last year from here.)


if you still have your latch, try the repair above. as a temp solution, a couple small pieces of velcro will last a couple of weeks before it wears out and needs to be replaced with more velcro.
