Center Console Swap?

Real quick questions, have no problem if this thread is closed once I have an answer.
I've got a gen1 with the flip cup-holders.
So between the awful cup-holders and a brocken arm rest lid, I was looking to replace that whole center piece.
Would it work fine if I ordered the center console insert from a gen1 with the better cupholders?

Yes, many of us have replaced the '00 console top with the '01-'02 piece. There will be a gap on the passenger side that can be fixed by purchasing the whole console. I got mine from eBay years ago; and yes, I replaced the whole console (top & sides).

getting rid of the damn ninja cup holders is one of them most important modifications I made to my 1st gen.

i did the same, but just swapped out the top piece, along with the power outlet rear cap for
the back seat. there is a small gap, but you cant really see it unless your looking for it.

same here too, one of the best things i've done to my ls - to get rid of those retarted cup
holders.

all my parts came from ebay.
