so I decided to give myself a career change. Massage Therapy just doesn't really make me happy anymore..it's wayyyy to pu$$y whipped and the pay isn't as good as it was when the economy wasnt in the sh1tter. So I'm starting my training to become a firefighter for the Washington area. wish me luck!

Find an area that has the best retirement and go for it. If you go to the right place you get decent pay, built-in overtime, great retirement, and an employer that pays you to stay in shape. It typically has all the benefits of a police officer save for the fact that people are happy to see you coming.

indeed..around here it's about 2-4 days of work in the firehouse and you get paid 60k per year with full benefits. I'm looking foreward to a union job :-D
