Changed battery car still dead. Alarm doesn't even work.

Today I changed my battery and the car does not want to start. It's completely dead you hear nothing. I cleaned the terminals and connectors still nothing. What could this be? Keyless entry or alarm doesn't even work.

Do the interior lights work? Trunk light? Anything?
Are you sure you have the polarity right? Do you have a voltmeter? If so, then start by measuring voltage across the two battery posts. Then measure at the chassis bolt of the ground cable and the trunk fuse box.

Nothing no lights at all. I don't have a meter. I'm sure I have polarity right, hooked up the way the last battery was. When I first noticed the problem you did get dashboard lights but all hear was clicking when trying to start. So I bought a new battery and now nothing at all.

You mean the fuses by the battery? Which ones should I check for?

Turns out the battery I bought was dead just exchanged it.
