heater worked great. changed coolant by filling through fill plug like it said. now it just blows cold air, no heat. could it be air trapped in block? engine temp gauge reads normal temp right in the middle. do i need to disconnect one of the heater core hoses to bleed trapped air.

No... to bleed the air you get to have a lot of fun..

You get to open that plug again and rock the hell out of the car to bleed the line and get the air out.

Do this with the engine running...

It's so much fun LOL... but serious.. all you have to do to bleed the line is rock the car.

Yeah these cars are really fu ck ers about that.. if it didn't seem to work, you didn't get all the air out. If your temp gage fluctuates too instantly driving around afterwards, you also didn't get all the air out. Sometimes, you have to really work to get that last bit of air out. Like Unity said don't let it run toooo long, it'll get hot, spill out too much coolant, and suck in more air. And like roadboss said get it up just a bit, but not so much that the top of the radiator's questionably higher than the crossover tube.

I do it when the car is running and the heat is on full blast when burping the coolant also have a funnel and at the end pull the rpm's up and fill it to the top then cap it,this may take a few cycles and i wait for the eletric fan to kick on and off
