Sup yall just got my Mark and found out I need a new headlamp. One problem though, I spent 2 hours out there trying to figure out how to take it off. So if any yall know how to change them damn headlamps the low beam one give some directions.

The whole headlamp assembly or just the bulb? Don't forget the phillips screw located on the outside of the side marker lamp portion of the headlight. Then you have to pull the beauty covers off (they are only velcro attached) and then the lights are right there and pretty straightforward.

Do you have a Gen I or Gen II?

If you have a Gen II this may help:

The following is a link to detailed step-by-step replacement instructions. I haven't tried them yet, but it looks as though someone with a little bit of wrenching skill could do the fix in around an hour per side. The instructions are courtesy of a member of the Mark VIII.org website.

One thing...the instructions mention Ford Parts Network for the replacement lamp but I think you can get a better price from Max @ Five Star Ford.
