changing plugs and wires..question

I thought about cutting off that white tape and putting something else on it but didn't have any tape that would hold up against the heat

this is from an ad on the local C/L...a 96 LSC, he's got it looking good, replaced that dirty white loom over the intake with _____?

yea, that guys posting it like every day....still at 38 obo....i don't need it
 
LoL @ that MAF install, doesn't look very- secure in the tube.
Gawd Gen1 engine bays are just terrible.

Lol I didn't even notice that, looks like a hunk of pvc thats attached with hose clamps to the maf. Whats so bad about 1st gen engine bays? Besides the plug wires there really isn't much difference in appearance (ya I know different intake and intake tube) I actually dont mind the sight of plug wires in the engine bay, reminds me that there's an engine there unlike cars of today that are just covered by a giant piece of plastic.
 
I did one wire at a time to keep from messing up the firing order and just routed them the same way they were before..I tried re-routing a few of them to make it look cleaner but some of the wires are just too long to start with.
