i just got this dual round 12" sealed sub enclosure my neighbor was throwin out cuz he upgraded his system. does anybody know some "cheap" subs that would sound nice in a sealed box, i wanna do a little system in my moms car but i dont want anything thats gonna wake up the whole neighborhood lol

i was thinkin maybe these kenwoods http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?showAll=Y&g=520&i=113W3011&tp=111 with a 1000 watt amp...but ive never heard how these sounded.

any other ideas?

thanks

Cheap and sounding nice don't normally go together in a sentence about car audio.

The kenwoods that you are looking at are ok..but will they sound nice...possibly. Are you planning on placing these in the T-Bird? The subwoofers that was in that box, you stated is a Dual (brand or as in "Pair") 12" subwoofer box. Premade boxes are not designed to be well built, and handle the output of a system with a 1000 watt subwoofer amp.

My suggestion to you, since you obviously have some coin in your pocket (08 Escalade with JBL Crown amps and GTI subs), I would suggest going with a custom made box to enhance the level of those subs. Always spend more on the box...The box makes the subs, not the other way around. I have heard 1500 dollar subs sound like complete arse in the wrong box. So spend a little more on a custom box and some good subs. You won't go wrong.
