Cheapest Way for Muscle Car Sound

It's not a muscle car and won't sound like one. Trade or sell it for a fox body mustang if you want something that sounds deep and throaty.

IMHO...I don't think the LS should be loud. It's a luxury sport sedan. It should be left a sleeper. Like most modern sporty luxury sedans.

In this video I think this is the best sound for a LS

I agree with the statement Jsaleen made , but if you are determined for that sound , straight pipe will give you the muscle sound

Glass packs. Nothing like glass packs to bring back those fond memories of rumbling through town, windows down, Hank Williams Jr on the cassette tape.... oh, wait, that's the redneck sound. What you want are chambered tube mufflers. I recommend 2.25 inch diameter pipes, as long as you can fit under the car. If you get too much rasp and crackle, resonators will eliminate that without really affecting the tone or volume, while very short glasspacks (in addition to the chambered tube mufflers) after the rear wheels will eliminate the crackle and drop the volume a bit without affecting the tone. The chambered tube mufflers are the same mufflers that the muscle car makers installed at the factory. The glasspacks will get close to the same sound and will cost less, but the CC mufflers are the best chance you have to actually reproduce that sound.

my car sounds pretty close to a bigger motor car. remove resonators, then replace mufflers with flowmasters.

I get asked all the time at gas stations and car washes if my car has had the 302 or 351 swapped in.

personally,
I think it sounds like a lot of 4v ponies out there, Ive got a friend with a 01 cobra with the same mufflers and the two sound very similar, I do think his has a better tone to it but not really because of the slightly bigger displacement , but more because of the center muffler design.
