Check Engine Light On !!

The last couple of days my LS has been running alittle rough. It bogged on me several time, then the check engine light came on. After driving alittle it went off then seemed to be alright. Yesterday I leaned on it hard, and now the light is on and won't go off. It will sometimes stumble at an idle sitting at a light. Otherwise it's got great power. Doe's anybody have an idea?? Mabey a bad sensor or something??

Did you take it to a mechanic? I would think that if the check engine light came on, it's probably a pretty serious problem.

No not yet, I was probably going to wait till Monday. I go to the local Ford dealer down the road from me. I trust them, these other locals don't know what there doing.

Until you get the error code(s), anything anyone says is just speculation and won't really help you solve the problem. Autozone will scan the codes for free, you might start there and then post what you find out from them.

Yea, I could try that. There is a local Auto Zone not far from the house. I will keep you posted.

Just FYI....I had two bad coils......She's running like a scolded dog again...

I guess that's a common problem...Litning over at TCCoA just got an '01 V6 that had that happen as well...
